How Much Does Fireflies.ai Cost? Plans and Limits Explained

Priya runs a five-person sales team, and on Monday she opens Fireflies' pricing page to set everyone up. The Free card says "Unlimited transcription". Two lines below, it says "400 mins of storage/team".

Can a plan be unlimited and capped at under seven hours at the same time?

It can, and that's the thing to understand about Fireflies AI pricing before you enter a card number. The price per seat is easy to read. What decides your real bill is three meters running underneath it: seats, storage, and AI credits.

Below is every Fireflies price and limit as of 2026-09-27, from fireflies.ai/pricing and Fireflies' help centre, with each page linked. You'll see who each plan suits, the limits that catch teams, and a year-one cost for a team of five.

Fireflies AI pricing at a glance

Fireflies.ai has four plans, priced per seat in USD. Free is $0, and Pro is $18 per seat a month, or $10 billed annually. Business is $29 per seat a month, or $19 billed annually. Enterprise is $39 per seat a month, annual billing only (checked on fireflies.ai/pricing on 2026-09-27).

The page's "Save up to 44%" is Pro: $18 down to $10. On Business, $29 down to $19 saves about 34%.

The three meters behind every Fireflies bill

Most pricing pages have one number that grows. Fireflies has three.

Seats: every teammate counts

Fireflies' pricing FAQ is direct: "Any teammate you added in your Fireflies workspace would be counted as a seat." On a paid plan you're charged per seat. The useful exception is in the same answer: you can share an individual meeting recap link "with participants or other users without adding them in your team free of charge."

So a manager who only reads recaps doesn't need a seat. Teams of more than 50 can ask for a volume discount.

Storage: a total cap, not a monthly allowance

This is the meter that surprises people. Fireflies' storage limits article says: "Storage does not reset monthly – it's a total cap." Free gets 400 minutes, Pro gets 8,000 minutes, and Business and Enterprise are unlimited.

When you hit the cap, new meetings are still captured, but you must delete older ones to access them. So Pro's 8,000 minutes is a runway, not a refill. The team-of-five example below puts a date on it.

AI credits: a small shared pool

The plan cards list 20 AI credits on Free and Pro, 30 on Business and 50 on Enterprise. According to Fireflies' AI credits article, those credits are "one-time", and they "are shared within your team and do not increase with added teammates". Five Pro seats share 20 credits, not 100.

Credits pay for the advanced tools, such as AI Skills, the Personal Assistant, Voice Agents, Sales Assist and Autofill CRM. They're charged per query with "dynamic AI credit pricing", so Fireflies doesn't publish a fixed cost per feature. The paid plan cards list transcription and AI summaries as unlimited, so the pool matters most to teams that lean on the AI tools above.

Who each Fireflies plan suits

Free: to test the notetaker

Free gives you "Unlimited transcription*", "Limited AI summaries", 400 minutes of storage for the whole team, 20 AI credits, the mobile and desktop apps, and the Chrome extension. The asterisk says unlimited applies "for shared bot meetings, chrome extension, and mobile app."

The free-plan transcripts article adds the condition: you have to turn on Auto-join calendar meetings. With it off, you're back to "the Free plan's default of 3 meeting transcriptions." Downloading transcripts and recordings isn't on Free either.

Suits: one person trying Fireflies for a couple of weeks. A busy week can fill 400 minutes.

Pro: for individuals and very small teams

Pro adds unlimited AI summaries, 8,000 minutes of storage per seat, 720p video recording, downloads, the task manager, topic trackers, talk-time analytics, and every integration. The recording limit stays at 2 hours, the same as Free.

Suits: a consultant, recruiter or solo rep on video calls under two hours who'll stay under 8,000 stored minutes, or will prune old meetings.

Business: for teams that record every day

Business removes the storage cap and raises the recording limit to 3 hours. It adds Multi-language Mode, conversation intelligence, team analytics for admins, public meeting access, user groups, private channels and priority support.

Suits: any team that records daily, runs meetings longer than two hours, or sells in more than one language in the same call.

Enterprise: when IT has a checklist

Enterprise is $39 per seat a month, billed annually only, through "Contact Us". It adds SSO and SCIM, audit logs, private storage, custom data retention, a rules engine, 1080p video, a 4-hour recording limit, a dedicated account manager, and payment by invoice. It's also the only tier where the comparison table ticks HIPAA compliance.

Suits: companies whose IT team requires SSO, SCIM, audit logs or custom retention rules. If none of those is on your list, Business covers what a sales team uses day to day.

Hidden costs and limits in Fireflies AI pricing

The 2-hour cap on Free and Pro

Every plan caps a single recording: 2 hours on Free and Pro, 3 hours on Business, 4 hours on Enterprise. Tom, a fictional account manager on Pro, runs a two-and-a-half-hour quarterly review with his biggest customer. That one meeting is over his limit, and the cheapest fix is Business: $19 a seat billed annually instead of $10.

Mixed-language calls need Business

The pricing FAQ says English is the primary language, with Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian "and 100+ other languages in beta." Switching languages inside one call is a separate feature. Fireflies' Multi-Language Mode article puts it on Business and Enterprise only, marks it beta, covers 60+ languages, and generates the summary "in the dominant language spoken during the meeting."

Credit add-ons renew themselves

When the shared pool runs dry, you buy more. The AI credits article lists the monthly bundles:

Purchased credits "auto-renew on your chosen billing interval (monthly or annual) unless paused", and "do not carry over to the next billing cycle". For paid users who run out, "Fireflies automatically upgrades you to the next higher AI credits tier to avoid interruption." Check that setting before the first invoice.

Smaller lines worth a look

• Uploaded files are rate-limited. The rate limits article caps external uploads at 3,000 minutes per source a month for individuals, charges $0.01 a minute over that, and notes that live bot, Chrome extension and mobile app recordings have no rate limit
• A custom bot name is an add-on. The notetaker appears as "Fireflies.ai Notetaker" and "cannot be hidden" from the participant list, per Fireflies' joining FAQ. Renaming it costs "$5/month or $60/year (non-refundable)" for an individual, per the bot name article, and is free on Enterprise
• Enterprise has no monthly option. The card is marked "Annual only"

Where Fireflies' own pages disagree

Two help articles didn't match the pricing page on the day we checked:

1. Free storage. The pricing page says "400 mins of storage/team". The Free plan article says "400 minutes of storage per seat."
2. AI credits. The AI credits article says the plan credits are "one-time" and arrive "on sign-up". The Free plan article says "20 AI credits per month."

This guide follows the pricing page and the more recently updated AI credits article. If either point decides your purchase, ask Fireflies support to confirm it in writing. And if a review quotes 800 minutes of free storage, check its date.

What Fireflies costs a team of five: a worked example

Here's Priya's fictional team from the opening, priced with Fireflies' published numbers only.

The team: five reps, mostly on Zoom and Google Meet. Each rep records about 15 hours of calls a month (900 minutes). Twice a year the team runs a 2.5-hour customer workshop. One rep sells into Spanish-speaking accounts and switches languages mid-call.

Year-one cost by billing option

Prices from fireflies.ai/pricing on 2026-09-27. Storage runway: 8,000 ÷ 900 = 8.9 months. The result is the same if Pro storage is pooled across the team (40,000 ÷ 4,500).

Adding the AI credit pool

The five seats share 30 one-time credits on Business. If Priya wants AI Skills and CRM autofill running every week, she'll need a bundle: 200 credits cost $16 a month on annual billing, $192 more in year one.

Credits are priced per query, so nobody can say in advance how far 200 will stretch. Watch the first month's usage before choosing a size.

Priya's answer

Pro annual looks like $600, but the team hits the storage wall in month nine and can't record the workshop in one piece. Business annual plus a 200-credit bundle is $1,332 for year one, about $22 a seat a month. That's the number for her finance lead, not the $10 on the card.
