Jamie AI Note Taker: What It Does and How It Compares

Look up the Jamie AI note taker in three reviews and you can come away with three different prices. One review still lists an "Executive" plan at €99 a month. Another says the top plan caps a meeting at 3 hours. Neither matches what Jamie's own pricing page said on 20 September 2026.

That's the trouble with choosing a note taker from second-hand write-ups. Plans change, the reviews don't, and you can't tell which page is out of date.

So this review of the Jamie AI note taker does one thing differently. Every fact about Jamie below comes from Jamie's own website or help centre, opened on 20 September 2026, with the page linked next to the claim. What the Jamie AI note taker is

Jamie is an AI meeting note taker made by a German company. It records the audio of a meeting on your own device, with no bot joining the call, and turns it into a summary, a transcript and a task list. It runs on Mac and Windows, with mobile apps for in-person meetings.

Jamie's homepage calls it "the meeting intelligence platform you can trust", and the pitch is privacy first: "Data stays in the EU", "No bot joins your call", "ISO 27001 and GDPR". The company behind it is wespond UG, registered in Rösrath near Cologne, according to the site's imprint.

How Jamie captures a meeting without a bot

Bot-based note takers join your Zoom or Teams call as an extra attendee. Jamie doesn't. Its homepage says Jamie "runs directly on your device and does not require a meeting bot to join your calls", and that it works across "Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, or any other online platform".

The recorder guide describes the desktop flow. When Jamie detects that you've joined a video call, a notification offers a Start Jamie button. You can also start a recording by hand from the app, or from the macOS menu bar.

While it records, a small floating widget sits on your screen. A Scratchpad tab holds your private typed notes, which stay out of the AI summary. Stop a recording under 5 minutes and Jamie warns you that "very short recordings may not generate useful summaries".

What you get after the meeting

The meeting output guide lists four steps after you press stop: transcribing, speaker matching, writing the summary and creating tasks. It says processing "typically takes about 5 - 10 minutes" in total. You end up with:

• Summary: an Executive Summary plus a Full Summary arranged by topic, or your own template
• Transcript: word for word, organised by speaker
• Tasks: action items with assignees you can edit
• Scratchpad: the private notes you typed during the meeting

Jamie also remembers voices. Name a speaker once and, per the speaker guide, it will "automatically identify speakers in future meetings".

Then there's Ask AI, a chat that answers questions about one meeting or searches across all of them. Jamie's own examples include drafting follow-up emails and preparing scoping emails for customers. A newer feature, Workflows, runs steps after a meeting such as logging a CRM activity. The help centre says it's "rolling out gradually".

Jamie on your phone

This is the part of any Jamie AI review to read closely if your meetings aren't on a laptop. Jamie's homepage says it "also captures in-person meetings from your laptop or your phone". The mobile app guide says the app is available for iOS in the App Store and for Android on Google Play, and that meetings recorded on mobile "appear instantly on desktop, and vice versa".

On the phone you can record in-person meetings, view your meetings and tasks, and use Ask AI. On an iPhone you can start a recording from Siri, the Shortcuts app, the Action button or Control Center. The same page adds one line worth knowing before you commit: "Editing features are not yet available on mobile."

So Jamie does have a phone story. Its help centre shows where the product's centre of gravity sits, though: the recorder, call detection, menu bar and editing tools are all documented for Mac and Windows.

Is Jamie AI free? Partly. There's a free plan, two personal paid plans and two business plans. Jamie's pricing page showed prices in euros when this article was checked. They're quoted here exactly as shown, so look at what the page displays for your region before you budget.

The plans in plain English

The comparison grid on that page gives every plan, Free included, speaker recognition and memory, task detection, in-person meetings and unlimited storage. Custom templates go from 1 on Free to 3 on Plus and unlimited on Pro. API, webhook and MCP access start at Pro.

How the credit system works

The Jamie AI note taker doesn't meter minutes. It meters meetings. The help centre puts it this way: "For every meeting recorded with Jamie, one credit is charged, regardless of the duration of the meeting." Meetings too short for a proper summary aren't charged.

Two limits apply at once: your monthly credits and the longest single meeting your plan allows. Go past either and, in Jamie's words, "your summary will be locked" until you move to a higher plan.

That model rewards long, scheduled meetings. A 2-hour workshop costs the same one credit as a 20-minute check-in, so a day of short conversations burns through credits fast.

Three worked cost examples

All three use Jamie's published euro prices. No exchange rate is applied, because rates move daily.

1. The consultant with 18 client meetings a month, none over 2 hours. Plus covers it, since 18 is under the 20-credit allowance.

• Monthly billing: €25 × 12 = €300 a year
• Annual billing: €21 × 12 = €252 a year
• Saving from annual billing: €300 − €252 = €48 a year

2. The account manager with 35 meetings a month. Free stops at 10 and Plus at 20, so this is Pro.

• Monthly billing: €47 × 12 = €564 a year
• Annual billing: €39 × 12 = €468 a year
• Saving from annual billing: €564 − €468 = €96 a year, which is the 17% on the pricing page

3. A five-person team that wants a shared workspace. That's the Team plan, priced per seat.

• Monthly billing: €39 × 5 = €195 a month, or €2,340 a year
• Annual billing: €33 × 5 = €165 a month, or €1,980 a year
• Saving from annual billing: €2,340 − €1,980 = €360 a year

Languages, security and where your data goes

Languages. Jamie's pricing grid lists "Notes & transcripts in 99+ languages" on every plan. Its language support page says "over 80 languages for transcription and summaries", names each one, and lists 13 more (Zulu, Somali and Luxembourgish among them) where "transcription quality may vary". The two pages don't quite agree, so if you work in a less common language, find it on the help-centre list first. You can choose the language your summaries are written in under Settings.

Security. This is where Jamie is strongest on paper. Its security page states GDPR compliance, data storage and processing inside the EEA, Switzerland and the UK, ISO 27001 certification, and compliance with the EU's Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). Connections use TLS 1.2 and stored data uses AES 256. A SOC 2 Type II audit is listed as "pending", which Jamie explains as "audit in progress".

Data flow. The data handling page is specific. Audio goes to a server in Frankfurt for processing, and then "we delete all audio files permanently". The transcript stays in Frankfurt, and notes are generated through an Anthropic or OpenAI API with data "not used for training purposes". So once Jamie has your transcript, the recording is gone: a privacy feature, and worth knowing if you like to replay a moment.

Consent. Bot-free doesn't mean permission-free. Jamie's recording consent guide says "it is required to inform all meeting participants" and offers an automatic email notice or a meeting chat notice to do it.
